Trial against Radzuma siblings resumes

The trial of the three Radzuma siblings accused of a series of crimes, including the murder of two South African Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu) leaders in Vhembe, Limpopo, will resume in the Thohoyandou High Court today.

Percy and Simon Radzuma are being tried for the separate killings of Samwu leaders, Timson Musetsho and Ronald Mani.

The third sibling, Ndivhuwo, is being tried for allegedly being linked to the killings.

Musetsho and Mani were against the Vhembe District Municipality’s investment of R300 million in the now defunct VBS Mutual Bank.

About 20 witnesses have testified thus far since the trial started last month.

The state has lined up 150 witnesses and they are all expected to be called to testify.

This follows the refusal by all three of the Radzuma siblings to sign an admission of evidence statements made by witnesses.

At the previous court appearance, South African Communist Party General Secretary Solly Mapaila said he is hopeful that the trial of the Radzuma siblings will reveal the person who ordered the hit.
