Police in Cape Town have nabbed two suspects after they allegedly robbed two mountain bikers between Bokkemanskloof and Schoorsteenberg.

A joint operation consisting of Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) volunteers, Hout Bay Community Crime Prevention (CCP), SANParks’ Sea-Air-Mountain Unit and rangers, was activated.

The suspects were apprehended in the Constantiaberg area above Hout Bay.

They were found with dangerous weapons and the alleged stolen items.

The cyclists were unharmed and a case has been opened with the Hout Bay police.

SANParks says the success underscores the benefits of collaboration.
