Two women killed, man wounded in Polokwane farm shooting

Two women were shot and killed, and a man was wounded on a farm outside Polokwane in Limpopo. The incident occurred at a dumpsite used by a dairy company on the farm at Onverwacht.

The bodies of the women were discovered in a pigsty on the farm. The wounded man, a 47-year-old foreign national, has been hospitalised.

Provincial police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba confirmed that both women sustained gunshot wounds. Ledwaba said the motive for the shooting is currently unknown.

“Further investigation revealed that both women sustained gunshot wounds and were with a 47-year-old foreign national man when they visited the farm, who was also shot and is currently hospitalized. The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage. Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has instructed the investigating team to apprehend the suspects involved in this heinous crime.”
