The University of Cape Town’s incoming Vice-Chancellor Professor Mosa Moshabela will commence his tenure from the first of next month.

He will take over from Emeritus Professor Daya Reddy, who led UCT on an interim basis since March last year.

The new UCT Council, which held its first plenary meeting at the weekend, has been constituted and all 30 members have been appointed.

Advocate Norman Arendse retains his position and was elected as Council chairperson, while the deputy chairperson is Nomarashiya Caluza.
