ZCC congregants to gather at Moria at the end of August

The Zion Christian Church (ZCC) congregation will gather at its headquarters in Moria outside Polokwane in Limpopo at the end of the month for the first time post the COVID-19 pandemic.

The church had stopped holding conferences since the outbreak of the pandemic four years ago.

According to Orthodox Christians, the first day of September is celebrated as the beginning of the church’s new year.

Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane is expected to deliver the main sermon.

The ZCC spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe says, “The ZCC will be resuming its regular conferences in a gradual pattern post-COVID-19 from the 30th of August to the 1st of September 2024. Members of the community are advised to take note that vendors will not be allowed to operate along the R71 route between Matshelapata in Mentz till Mphogodiba. This is done mainly for safety reasons and the ZCC is not in any way against the SMMEs.”
