Musician Shebe-Maburna to appear in court on assault charges

Musician Lehlogonolo Chauke, popularly known as Shebe-Maburna, will appear in the Lebowakgomo Regional Court in Limpopo on Thursday.

Chauke is facing charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted murder.

Shebe was arrested in April 2022 after allegedly stabbing two people with a knife following a public spat that occurred in Lebowakgomo.

Shebe allegedly stabbed two men three times in different areas of their bodies.

The musician was arrested and spent four months in jail before being released in July 2023.

The state and the defense will present the final arguments to convince the magistrate on the future of the case involving the popular musician.
