Pro-Palestine protesters picket across country

The South African Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement or BDS alongside Pro-Palestine activists have gathered in protest across the country. This is in response to the ongoing Israel war in Gaza which has displaced the vast majority of the population from their homes and left civilians facing acute shortages of food, water and other service.

The protestors are against the killings in the Palestinian city of Rafah, as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues.

It’s part of mass protests organised by the activists as well as BDS members around the country.

In Johannesburg, protesters gathered at Constitution Hill.

Similar scenes were seen in Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Port-Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Potchefstroom.
