Mpumalanga Police Commissioner calls for unity in fighting crime

The Mpumalanga Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Manamela, says law enforcement officers need to work with the community to deal with crime.

It comes as the Crime Prevention Summit is being held in White River.

“We need to start with a strategy and involve the community and stakeholders to make people aware that this is our starting point as a province. Our multi-disciplinary approach and turnaround vision is this summit, the first step to take to deal with the scourge of crime in the province.”
