Unisa terminates employment of Prof Mothata

The University of South Africa (UNISA) has confirmed that it has terminated the employment contract of its registrar, Professor Steward Mothata, with immediate effect.

Earlier this month, UNISA placed Mothata on a 90-day precautionary suspension, pending an investigation.

UNISA had then said that the issues, which led to Mothata’s suspension, were outlined to him in a confidential letter.
